The Kitchen is Where Everything Comes Together...
Our Story
From Our Kitchen to Yours

Like a lot of people, our kitchen started out as a mix of random pieces collected over the years — a pan from one place, a pot from another — nothing really matched.
When we tried to upgrade, we kept running into the same problem: the cookware we loved came with price tags we couldn't justify. Spending $300 or $400 on a single Dutch oven didn't make sense to us.
We wanted pieces that felt elevated without being untouchable — cookware that was thoughtfully designed, made to last, and looked good.
So we built the brand we wished existed: timeless, high quality cookware without the luxury markup.
About Brenden and Marcia
Marcia grew up in Brazil. Her mother is Brazilian, her father was Ukrainian, and she came of age in a culture where cooking, gathering, and sharing were the rhythm of the week. Food wasn't fuel. It was how love showed up.
Brenden grew up in a family that gathered the same way — different traditions, same instinct. The kitchen was the heart of the home, and dinner was where the day actually happened.
When the two of us came together, our kitchens and cultures came with us. Simmer Down is what we're building: cookware designed to elevate and inspire — to cook beautifully and gather often.
Brenden helped build a company from a small startup to a billion-dollar consumer business and learned what it takes to grow a brand that people love. Marcia's background is in media production, marketing, modeling, and music. She's also a mom, which is where a lot of her instincts about cooking and gathering come from.
What We're Building
Cookware that's coordinated, not collected piece by piece. Designed with intention. Enameled cast iron made to last. Teak utensils that feel good in the hand. Spun bamboo that brings warmth to the table. Pieces that move from oven to table without missing a beat — because the kitchen should inspire you, not feel like a workshop.
The Donkey
The donkey is our mark. Steady. Capable. Quietly hardworking. And — if you've ever met one — unexpectedly friendly, with more personality than most people give them credit for. That's why we love it. We also support donkey welfare and rescue, because the animal that inspired the mark deserves a real return on the favor.
Quality and Craft
Designed in California. Made by skilled manufacturing partners in Asia who specialize in enameled cast iron, teak, and bamboo. our oven mitts and aprons are made from durable, comfortable fabrics that take real wear in a working kitchen. Every piece meets U.S. food safety standards and is built to perform for years.
A Note from Us
