Crisp on the outside and soft and airy inside, this rustic focaccia is filled with olive oil, sea salt, and fresh herbs for incredible flavor and texture.
Ingredients
- 4 cups bread flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 3/4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil, plus more for drizzling
- Fresh rosemary
- Flaky sea salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, yeast, warm water, and olive oil.
- Mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover and allow to rise for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Generously oil a Simmer Down Cookware Cream White Dutch oven.
- Transfer dough into the Dutch oven and gently stretch to fit.
- Cover and allow to rise another 30 minutes.
- Using your fingertips, dimple the surface of the dough. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and top with fresh rosemary and flaky sea salt.
- Bake uncovered at 425°F for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving warm.
