Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1–2 tablespoons diced onion
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a Simmer Down Cookware Dutch oven or skillet over medium heat until crisp.
- Remove bacon and set aside, leaving a small amount of bacon drippings in the pan.
- Add diced onion and cook until softened and lightly golden.
- Add green beans and a small splash of water.
- Cover and cook until tender-crisp, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in butter and cooked bacon.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve warm.
